EXHIBITION DESIGN • VISUAL IDENTITY
Vince Dooley was a coach, athletic director, gardener, and historian. He is best known as the former head football coach of the University of Georgia.
In celebration of his life and legacy, Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library curated a museum exhibit of original artifacts and rarely seen photos.
I designed, printed, and mounted all graphics for the exhibit and created the pitch deck that was presented to the Dooley family for approval. I collaborated with Jason Hasty, UGA Athletics History Specialist, to develop the visual identity of the exhibit and plan case layouts.
Mood Board – To authentically portray Vince Dooley's story and legacy, I derived the exhibit's color palette from photographs of him, both professional and personal.
The exhibit explored four aspects of Coach Dooley's life: his coaching career, his position as the Athletic Director, his passion for gardening, and his lifelong love for learning.
I implemented these four main aspects as the pillars for the exhibit's design, especially in the caption system and the main graphic.
The exhibit's text was divided based on theme and given a symbol accordingly.
"Coach Dooley was the coach of our youth, the athletic director of our college days, and the legend of our adulthood... Today, we like to think of the back to back national championships of 2021 and 2022 as The Dooley Double. One championship in the twilight of his life, with a second one to enjoy from Bulldog Heaven."

I also collaborated with Jason Hasty to create an interactive space with Post-it notes where people could leave their thoughts or favorite memory of Vince Dooley.
