EXHIBITION DESIGN • VISUAL IDENTITY
This exhibit celebrates the University of Georgia’s long tradition of sending athletes to represent the United States and many other countries in the Olympic Games.
I designed, printed, and mounted all graphics for the exhibit. I collaborated with Jason Hasty, UGA Athletics History Specialist, to develop the visual identity of the exhibit and plan case layouts.
This exhibit was a collaborative effort with Jack Bauerle and John Frierson.
Jack Bauerle was the University of Georgia’s men’s and women’s swim and dive coach from 1979 through 2022.
John Frierson is the Assistant Sports Communications Director for the UGA Athletic Association and the curator of the ITA Men’s Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum.
"I believe the most overwhelming emotion any athlete or coach feels during and after the Olympic Games is one of thankfulness. Every participant realizes how many people had a part in making their dreams come to fruition."
To fully embody the Olympic spirit, we incorporated a mix of bold, bright colors throughout the exhibit, from the physical ephemera in the cases to the design of the exhibit's poster.
Additionally, I designed a triptych containing the names of every single athlete that UGA has ever sent to the games.
The triptych was designated a space of its own to accommodate for its sheer size and to allow visitors to physically experience UGA's extensive Olympic history.
